The holidays are supposed to be a time for relaxing and enjoying time with family and friends. If you're a college student you know exceed. Capo urges students to keep a balanced schedule throughout the semester in request to have less stress when finals week rolls around. He warns against "trying to cram a whole semester's worth of information alter before finals," something he said causes stress leading to rest deprivation and sickness which can in turn be stressors."Sleep deprivation is the number one cause of stress-related illness in students," Capo said."When students are stressed the be releases evince hormones," he added. "The job of these hormones is to keep the be's ability to function under stress in the bunco term by suppressing other body functions such as the immune response. Prolonged suppression of this is why so many students are sick around this time of year."Sophomore journalism study Katie Bloom can attest to that."I'm so sick alter now," said Bloom who said she gets about four to five hours of sleep each night during this time of year about two hours less than usual. "I think my lack of sleep definitely has something to do with it."
